STATE OF GRACE  A Dance for the Camera


​State of Grace" is a dance film directed by Diana Stanton. The film celebrates the strength and beauty of women in different stages of life. Filmed in Atascadero's Stadium Park in San Luis Obispo county CA over the course of one year, the video footage shows the change in seasons, which represent the “seasons” of life. The film intends to highlight the "state of grace" in the present moment and honor the adventure of every age.

CAL POLY SAN LUIS OBISPO THEATRE AND DANCE DEPARTMENT

Diana is an Associate Professor and Director of Dance in the Theater and Dance Department at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Diana directed the Orchesis Dance Company from 2008-2014 and now serves as Assistant Director. She creates original choreography for the students every year. Cal Poly offers a Dance Minor in the curriculum.

VARIABLE VELOCITY PERFORMANCE GROUP
Diana was the Co-Founder, Co-Artistic Director, and Administrative Director of Variable Velocity Performance Group, a non profit dance company in San Luis Obispo, CA. She created original choreography and multi media projects for more than 12 years with colleague Jude Clark Warnisher.
